17 University Merit Holders honored with Gold Medals during the Annual Convocation of Chandigarh University

He was speaking during the 3rd Annual Convocation ceremony at the campus of Chandigarh University, Gharuan. More than 425 Post-Graduate & Graduate students of Computer Applications, Animation, Hotel Management, Bio-Technology and Airlines-Tourism were awarded degree during the Annual convocation held today.
While delivering his convocation address to the students Mr. M. P. Singh said “A different type of journey begins today as you will utilize your education for the benefit of Nation, Society and World”. As a professional you should contribute towards developing a strong Alma Mater of your insitution so that the next generation of batches should be get maximum benefit out of your experience and learning, added Mr. M.P.Singh. He stressed upon the need to guide youth to take Social Business as an emerging opportunity where the student can become successful and is also able to pay back what they have gained from the society.
More than 17 university toppers were honored with University Gold Medals for their exemplary performance in academics in their respective fields. Newly wed classmate couple Pawan Kumar and Nisha Mehta both post-graduate students of Animation were also present on the occasion who came straight to campus from their marriage.
Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor Chandigarh University said “It is easy for Universities to churn out just the degree holders but it is difficult to make students employable and we at Chandigarh University are delighted to be successful in this endeavor”. Dr. R.S. Bawa Vice- Chancellor and Dr. B.S. Sohi, Pro V.C were present on the occasion.
