Bollywood star John Abraham launches University Institute of Film & Visual Arts at Chandigarh University

Bollywood actor, producer and leading model John Abraham inaugurated University Institute of Film & Visual Arts (UIFVA) at the campus of Chandigarh University. The institute would offer professional Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate degree programs in Film Production, Animation & Gaming and Fine Arts from the current session. While inaugurating the Film Production Institute John said, “Our Industry requires innovative ideas and fresh thoughts which can only be possible if professionals can be trained and film fraternity in India would be ready to help the institutions in preparing the course structure and taking care of the practical exposure required for the students”.

While highlighting film production as a lucrative career option, John Abraham who himself has turned producer added, “Making film is a creative art involving team of professionals like director, art director, set designer, chorographer, screen play writer and others, so it important for universities to offer degree programs under the expert supervision of professionals from Industry and prepare professionals that are ready for our Indian & International film Industry”.

University Chancellor, Satnam Singh Sandhu said, “Punjab has always been a famous among film production houses and with the revival of Punjabi Film Industry there is lot of scope for the students who want to pursue film production as their career after 10+2”. UIFVA would offer multiple & varied career options in the area of film production which includes Ad Film Making, Documentary Film Making, Art Film Making Cinematography along with music production, sound recording, 3d animation, graphics designing and fine arts to the students and if renowned personalities like John Abraham are associated with us who have talent & experience then the students of the region, he added.
