Indians like Satya Nadella & Sundar Pichai have proved that Youth of India have the competency to be global leaders: MP Deepender Hooda

 

“Youth of India is already proving their talent at global front & the world is acknowledging their role as global leader which is evident from the fact that top global giants like Microsoft, Google and Adobe have Satya Nadella, Sundar Pichai and Shantanu Narayen as their CEOs who hails from India” said Member Parliament, Deepender Hooda. The MP was speaking during a panel discussion at Chandigarh University National Youth Summit “EVOKE-2018”. The National Youth Summit “EVOKE” is organized by Chandigarh University annually on 12th January to mark the birth anniversary of great Indian philosopher and social reformer Swami Vivekananda which is also celebrated as National Youth Day in India. Young achievers from different spheres comprising of Harjit Surya, an India born USA based Investment Banker, Pritika Mehta, Young Entrepreneur, Data Scientist & Tedx curator and Dinesh Sharma, Editor, ZEE Media along with sitting Member Parliament Haryana Deepender Hooda participated as panelists to discuss on the topic “Indian Youth: Whether a Global Trendsetter?”

While expressing his views on the topic of the Youth Summit Hooda said,” India as a nation requires to fully utilize its productive population of youth which happens to be about 65% of the total population & hence making India a land of new avenues & opportunities”. On being asked by one of the university student Abhishek Pandey, that why in India the legitimate age to contest elections of MP or MLA is 25 years in comparison to other countries like USA, UK, Australia where the eligible age is 18, three time Member Parliament from Haryana Deepender Hooda said, “I agree with the opinion expressed by the student & would certainly your concern in Parliament by taking up the issue with the political parties & the government”.Ganges of Wasseypur fame film writer & actor Zeishan Quadri said ,  “Indian cinema is already proving its worth for global audience as the new generation of actors, directors and writers have taken over the Indian film fraternity who are taking the risk of making new age cinema and leaving behind the old legacy of traditional Bollywood films”. In recent times, ” Informative and Social message based cinema like Ganges of Wasseypur, Paan Singh Tomar and Masaan are only liked by Indians but acclaimed appreciation globally”, the filmmaker added.

Citing her story of being a successful entrepreneur, Pritika Mehta said that,” Although it was difficult to follow my ambitions in India due to lack of proper exposure and opportunities but as a youth you need to be fearless and ambitious while following own dreams”. While interacting with audience, US based Investment banker, Harjit Surya said, “India has emerged as a global leader in IT sector during last decade due to innovations & creative ideas of young Indian entrepreneurs who grabbed the opportunities of the emerging IT industry”.
