Gharuan: Chandigarh University has set the stage for a divine experience with the spiritual head of Tibet, the 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso visiting and meeting the students at the varsity. The University, well known for its initiatives and endeavors to uplift the quality of education, would be hosting Dalai Lama, who would be talking about Secular Ethics in Modern Education in context of Guru Nanak Devi ji.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner, Dalai Lama carries the message of non-violence and inter-religious harmony and has written over 110 books while focusing on the issue of world peace. A frequent traveler, Dalai Lama has been sharing his views and teachings at different places and different countries. This world’s one of the best-known people, Dalai Lama has always raised his voice for global concerns and has offered solutions as well.

Further, the Spiritual head of Tibet is scheduled to visit Chandigarh University on the 15th October, 2019 at 9:30 am. During his interaction with the students at CU, the Lama would discuss Secular Ethics in Modern Education in the context of Guru Nanak Devi ji. Preaching the message of peace across the globe, Dalai Lama believes that the solutions to the environmental crisis and violent conflicts lie in secular ethics which includes educating oneself on common experiences, scientific findings, and common sense.
