Involving Industry as an important stakeholder in the career making process for the students is a regular exercise at Chandigarh University. Top Corporate and Business Leaders across different field visit University Campus on a regular basis where they interact with the students to make them aware about the industry aspirations. It is during one such interaction that  Mr. Rajeev Mendiratta – Global Head Resource Management Group, DXC visited the campus and spared time with the budding IT professionals. DXC Technology is the thirds largest IT Player across the globe with around 21 Billion dollar business.

 During his interaction with the students, Mr. Mehdiratta said“Students at Chandigarh  University have a lot of passion; they are serious about making a successful career and not only concerned with their score”. While giving the success mantra to the students, the HR-Head from DXC Technology said, “The students have to be bright, hardworking and focused to build future for themselves”.

He talked about the Industries and its changing scenario but emphasized on the role of fresh graduates who are responsible for setting up new trends for the future of the Industry. While referring to the portable and emerging technologies, “It’s really difficult to predict the future but the device which you are carrying in your hands is a potent bomb and this will be the future business of all the businesses” said Mr. Rajeev Mendiratta. While answering to a question on women entrepreneurs in the IT sector he said, “If you are want to be one then there is much more support provided to the women entrepreneurs than the male entrepreneur”

I think it’s the first university in India where course curriculum and the industry trends are cross checked.” said Mr. Rajeev while speaking about the University.
