Team SAIT Indore wins Best Design & Team CGC Landran bags 1st position in Go Kart Competition
Torque Monster team from SAIT Indore bagged the Best Design & Team Presentation, while team Neo Phytes from CGC Landran won the GoKart Racing Competition on the 2nd day of the National Tech-Fest “Tech-Invent 2017” at the campus of Chandigarh University. GoKart teams from more than 15 Engineering Institutions all over India took part during the Tech Fest 2017. In a nail biting finish team Neo Phytes took 2.25 minutes to complete the 2.84 km track distance and pipped the team Hornet from Chandigarh University which completed the race in 2.30 mintues.
The 2-day National Level Tech-Invent 2017 ended today on high note with talent among the students being rewarded for their innovation and ideas. Results of all 52 categories of events were declared and winners were honored with Cash Prizes and Certificate of Merit. More than 7000 students from 321 Universities, Institutions and Colleges took part during the National Technical event.
Yogesh from LPU Phagwara won 1st position in Water Rocket Competition by achieving the record height of 360 feet in 5.5 seconds, while Arvanajit Kalra from DAV College Chandigarh won the Surgical Strikes event. Team from DAVIET Jalandhar won the Appeneur event by developing the best mobile user friendly application, while Davinder Singh from GNDEC Ludhiana won the Survey Burglars competition. Manoj Kumar from Punjab University Chandigarh bagged 1st position in the Circuitix event while Gaurav Bajwa & team from ISTC CSIO, Chandigarh won the IoT Patrons event. Electrical Engineering students from Punjabi University Patiala, Manoj Kumar & team won the Amphibian Bot competition while Minal Priyadashi bagged 1st position in the Mathematics Olympiad.
While speaking on the occasion, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor, Chandigarh University said that “Innovation forms the backbone of growth for any Nation and Universities can play crucial role in taking lead in this direction by supporting the students who have an inclination towards R&D”. Technical events like TechInvent-2017 not only provides a platform to young & budding engineers to show-case their talent but it also provides an opportunity for them to compete against their counterparts who will meet them in market, Sandhu added.
