Telangana Minister Ch Malla Reddy visits Chandigarh University, interacts with students
India has most brilliant minds, our youth must strive to reach top of world: Reddy
MOHALI: Asserting that the land of this country is blessed to produce some of the most brilliant minds in the world, Shri Ch Malla Reddy, Minister for Labor and Employment, Telangana exhorted the students to reap the most out of the world-class facilities and quality education being provided to them and bring the country on the top of the world in every way possible.
Shri Reddy, who was on a special visit to the Chandigarh University, Gharuan, interacted with the students, and discussed the key aspects of modern education and technology with the faculty of the varsity. The Minister also visited the Chandigarh University's Technology Business Incubator Centre and Kalpana Chawla Centre for Research in Space Science and Technology (KCCRSST), and was apprised of the advance technology and facilities being set up at the varsity campus.
Pro-Chancellor, Chandigarh University Dr R S Bawa and other officials of the varsity were also present on the occasion.
In a special interactive session held with the students of Chandigarh University, belonging to Telangana, the Minister exhorted the students to make the best of the world-class facilities being provided to them at the Chandigarh University.
Talking about the importance of technology in the present times, the Minister said that technology has not only improved the standard of living of human beings, but has also brought revolutionary changes in the field of development of the country and the world.
“The technology and economic development complement each other. The students should make good use of world-class technology, and gadgets being provided to them at this campus and must do so for their career growth and enriching their skills,” said Reddy.
Asserting that the land of this country is blessed to produce some of the most brilliant minds in the world, Reddy said, “India is one of the largest countries in the world and our young generation, also one of the highest in the world, can play an important role in bringing it to the top of the world in every field. The students must reap the most out of the world-class facilities and quality education being provided to them and bring the country on the top of the world in every way possible,” said Reddy.
Describing the basic mantra for a successful life, Reddy advised the students to be disciplined, use time wisely, not misuse money and lead a simple and honest life.
The Minister was informed that as many as 468 students belonging to the State of Telangana are currently studying in various courses and programs in the Chandigarh University. During the campus placement drive-2022, as many as 93 students including 58 in Engineering and 22 in MBA, got placed in multinational companies, it was added.
During his interaction with the students of Telangana studying at the Chandigarh University, the Minister held an elaborative discussion with Orsu Vinay and Shubham Srivastav, both third year students of Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering, respectively, who are presently working on NASA CANSAT project competition and will be representing India at the finale of the competition, to be held in the United States, next month.
The Minister also met and congratulated P Raja Rajeswari, a student of Forensic Sciences for review article on Forensic Odontology and Facial Reconstruction in an international conference conducted by INPAFO; D P Prashanth and Ch Sai Kishore, students of Electronics and Communication Engineering for their outstanding research in Image Processing; and Koya Rohith Reddy, Gajula Amulya, Baddam Sagar and Sri Harsha, students of Computer Science Engineering and Mechatronics for their research papers and the scholarships they have been rewarded with.
The Minister also appreciated the infrastructure and technology-oriented programs of Chandigarh University, Gharuan.
