MOHALI: An acclaimed international leader and academician, Prof (Dr) Anand Agrawal has joined as the Vice-Chancellor of Chandigarh University, Gharuan. Prof Agrawal has brought with him more than 20 years of experience following his successful stints at globally renowned higher education institutions in multiple countries.
On the occasion, Chandigarh University’s NCC Cadets escorted the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor. The Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor was officially welcomed by Hon'ble Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu, in the presence of Pro-Chancellor Prof (Dr) R S Bawa and Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) Devinder Singh and other officials.
Prof Agrawal, with his extensive international experience, will further Chandigarh University's vision of transforming the higher education system in India. His dedication and commitment have successfully helped transform the academic and administrative landscape of several higher education institutions during his remarkable professional journey.
Some notable progressive institutions where he has worked earlier include Swinburne University of Technology in Malaysia, Asian Institute of Management in Philippines, Institute of Management Technology Dubai, American University in the Emirates in UAE and Blue Crest University in Ghana.
Prof. Agrawal has been also actively volunteering as a country director with the International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association based in New York, USA, to promote reforms and drive growth in the quality standards of higher education. He is a founding trustee of #Sphoorti, a non-profit organization that cares for underprivileged children in Hyderabad, India.
Prof. Agrawal has also worked with a prominent multinational market research firm and a national media research firm after completing his PhD in Management. He has multiple publications in high-impact journals, newspapers, and magazines, bearing strong testimonies to his highly respectable research profile.
Several researchers working in strategic positions across organizations around the world have been trained and groomed by Prof. Agrawal.
