Chandigarh University organized Annual Convocation for the 1st Batch of Open and Distance Learning; 325 degrees awarded

University Gharuan held the annual convocation of the first pass-out batch of
Open and Distance Learning in Management, Computer Applications, Commerce, and
Arts at its main campus. The chief guest of the occasion was Akash Sureka,
Managing Director JP Morgan Chase & Co. Dr. (Prof.) R S Bawa,
Pro-Chancellor Chandigarh University; Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna, Vice Chancellor
Chandigarh University; Dr. Pawan Kumar Paras, Registrar Chandigarh University;
and Vishwas Kshirsagar, Executive Director Marketing Chandigarh University, were
also present on this auspicious occasion.
Akash
Sureka awarded degrees more than 325 degrees to the students of MBA, MCA, MCom,
and MA in English and Psychology through online and distance learning. As many
as 150 students of distance learning in MBA received their degrees during the
ceremony. Additionally, 100 students of MCA, 35 students of MA Psychology, 20
of MA English, and 10 of MCom were awarded their graduation degrees during the
convocation.
While addressing the students during
the convocation, JP Morgan Chase & Co. Managing Director Akash Sureka said,
“What seemed a mere imagination for years, the pandemic made it all possible,
especially the concept of education gaining popularity and outshining as
an alternative education pattern when educational systems across the world were
at a halt. Distance and online learning have also proven that age no longer is
a barrier in education. All you must do is set a goal, uphold your principles
and values, and stay focused until you have achieved what you dreamt of.”
