Theatre festival by Chandigarh University and Haryana Kala Parishad
A two-day theatre festival ‘Chandigarh Rashtriya Natya Mahotsav- 2023’ was held at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh, on April 6 and 7 to celebrate the different shades of theatre. The festival which began on Thursday, is being organised by Haryana Kala Parishad in association with Chandigarh University. The two-day festival will provide an opportunity to theatre enthusiasts and practitioners to come together and share their experiences and knowledge. it showcased the talent of theatre artists and provide a platform for the audiences to connect themselves with the quality entertainment.
The inaugural ceremony of the event was presided over by Jai Prakash Dalal, minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Animals Husbandry and Dairying Fisheries, and Law and Legislative, Government of Haryana. Dr RS Bawa, Pro-Chancellor Chandigarh University; Gajendra Phogat, OSD to Chief Minister of Haryana, Sanjay Bhasin, Director Haryana Kala Parishad; Rajeev Raj, Eminent Theatre Director; and Manish Jhangra, Director Department of Student Welfare, Chandigarh University were among the other dignitaries who attended the event. A large audience attended the event and were entertained by the plays with joy.
