CU organized the 1st edition of Chandigarh Schools Excellence Awards (CSEA)

Chandigarh University organized the first-ever Chandigarh Schools Excellence Awards (CSEA) on 19th May in association with Chandigarh Welfare Trust (CWT) at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA) in Sector 26, Chandigarh. It was organized to recognize and honour the consistent efforts of teachers and principals of schools in Chandigarh for their contributions in imparting quality education to the youth.



The first edition of the Chandigarh Schools Excellence Awards witnessed a huge response in which more than 200 schools from all over Chandigarh participated. A total of 237 awards were conferred under 21 categories, which include 4 categories of principal’s awards, 7 categories of teacher’s awards, and 10 categories of school’s awards.



Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Banwarilal Purohit was the chief guest for the occasion whereas UT Adviser Dharam Pal was the guest of honor. The attendees also included dignitaries CWT founder and Chancellor Chandigarh University Satnam Singh Sandhu, Director School Education Harsuhinder Pal Singh Brar, and District Education Officer (DEO) Bindu Arora.

Chandigarh University Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu, on the occasion, announced two new certificate courses for the school principals and teachers, to improve their skills and impart new-age teaching-learning pedagogy. While a leadership and training course will be run for principals, a teachers’ training certificate course for teachers.
