CU and Vancouver Film School Collaborate to Host International Film Festival 2024

Chandigarh - Chandigarh University, in partnership with the renowned Vancouver Film School (VFS), has announced the Chandigarh University International Film Festival (CUIFF) 2024. The festival, scheduled for August 22-23, 2024, aims to provide a global platform for emerging filmmakers, animators, and visual effects artists to showcase their talents.

The collaboration between Chandigarh University and VFS underscores a shared commitment to fostering creativity and innovation in the film and animation industries. The festival will feature multiple categories, including Best VFX, Best Showreel, Best Short Film, Best Documentary, Best 2D/3D Animation, and Best Experimental Animation.


Exciting Prizes Await:

- 1st Prize: ₹15,000 + Award + Certificate

- 2nd Prize: ₹10,000 + Award + Certificate

- VFS Scholarships for all winners and nominated projects

The festival provides participants with a unique opportunity to gain recognition from industry experts and to potentially launch their careers in the competitive fields of film and animation.

CU's Monica and Nirmala Bhati Shine as India Wins Inaugural Kho-Kho World Cup

New Delhi -   India etched its name in sports history by winning the inaugural Kho-Kho World Cup, held from January 13 to 19, 2025, at the Indira Gandhi Arena, New Delhi. In a commanding display of skill, India defeated Nepal in the finals with a remarkable score of 78-40.
