CU Campus - The University Institute of Media Studies at Chandigarh University recently organized a 'Fact Check Workshop' in partnership with the Google News Initiative (GNI Network). This workshop was aimed at enhancing the skills of students enrolled in the BA-Journalism & Mass Communication and MA-Journalism & Mass Communication programs.
The sessions were conducted by Senior Journalist Sanjay Kumar, who provided valuable insights into the pervasive issue of fake news on social media. The workshop focused on equipping students with the necessary tools and techniques to verify facts, enabling them to help the general public make informed decisions.Chandigarh University continues to uphold its commitment to experiential learning by regularly inviting industry experts to train and mentor its students, thereby preparing them for the evolving demands of the media industry.
