CU Campus - From September 30th to October 4th, 2024, Chandigarh University's University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) and the Department of Forensic Science conducted an innovative 5-day practicum designed to offer students immersive experiences in crime scene investigation, forensic jurisprudence, anthropology, and legal procedures.
The interdisciplinary event provided students with hands-on opportunities to analyze simulated crime scenes, engage in forensic analysis, and participate in legal simulations.
Led by experts from both legal and forensic fields, the practicum aimed to equip participants with a deeper understanding of how forensic evidence plays a crucial role in the justice system. Students also delved into ethical challenges and examined landmark cases to understand the intersection between forensic science and law.
This exclusive event was crafted to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, offering UILS and Forensic Science students a comprehensive skill set. The program not only focused on forensic science’s role in ensuring justice but also on developing the critical thinking necessary for future legal and investigative professionals.
