CU’s Vanshika Shahi Shines in FISU World University Shooting Championship 2024

New Delhi: Chandigarh University, Gharuan, is celebrating another proud moment as its student Vanshika Shahi made a mark on the global stage by contributing to India’s silver medal victory in the 50m Rifle 3Position team event at the FISU World University Shooting Championship 2024.

The Indian team, consisting of Sift Kaur Samra, Vanshika Shahi, and Manini Kaushik, displayed incredible skill and determination, narrowly missing the gold medal by just one point to the Czech Republic. Germany secured the third position in the fiercely competitive event.

A Star in the Making

Vanshika’s journey to success has been nothing short of inspiring. She previously clinched gold at the Khelo India Youth Games in Guwahati with an impressive final score of 451.3. Additionally, her performance at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, where she achieved 16th rank with a score of 1,167 in the 50m Rifle 3Position women’s junior event, further showcased her potential and dedication to the sport.
