This landmark achievement makes Chandigarh University the first in India to achieve the highest number of foreign alliances, setting a benchmark for international engagement in higher education.

CU's Monica and Nirmala Bhati Shine as India Wins Inaugural Kho-Kho World Cup

New Delhi -   India etched its name in sports history by winning the inaugural Kho-Kho World Cup, held from January 13 to 19, 2025, at the Indira Gandhi Arena, New Delhi. In a commanding display of skill, India defeated Nepal in the finals with a remarkable score of 78-40. Among the standout performers were Monica Bhati and Nirmala Bhati, students of Chandigarh University, whose contributions were instrumental in the team’s golden success.  Adding to the glory, Monica Bhati was crowned the Best Defender of the Tournament, recognizing her unmatched defensive prowess throughout the championship.
