President Droupadi Murmu Confers Arjuna Award on CU's Hockey Sensation Sanjay

New Delhi:  Sanjay, a prominent member of India’s Hockey Team and Chandigarh University student, was conferred the prestigious Arjuna Award for Hockey at the 2024 National Sports Awards ceremony. The award, presented by President Droupadi Murmu, recognizes his outstanding contributions to Indian hockey, including his instrumental role in securing a Bronze Medal at the 2024 Olympics.

A vital player in the Indian squad, Sanjay has been widely praised for his exceptional skills on the field and his commitment to the sport. His journey from a budding athlete to a celebrated national icon serves as an inspiration to many aspiring hockey players across the country. This also makes him the second Chandigarh University student, after Kabaddi player Pawan Kumar Sehrawat, to be bestowed upon with this iconic award.
