Team CodeZephyr Crowned Champions at Tata Technologies Hackathon; Awarded ₹3 Lakh Prize

Pune - In a proud moment for Chandigarh University, Team CodeZephyr has emerged as the champion of the prestigious Tata Technologies InnoVent Hackathon 2024. This nationwide competition, organized by Tata Technologies in collaboration with Microsoft and Tata Motors, focused on leveraging Generative AI to solve real-world challenges in the manufacturing sector.

Held at the Tata Technologies headquarters in Pune, the grand finale saw the top ten teams from across India present their innovative prototypes to an eminent jury. Team CodeZephyr from Chandigarh University impressed the panel with their groundbreaking project, "Sustainable Material Integration for Engineering Excellence," and claimed the top prize of ₹3 lakh.

CU's Monica and Nirmala Bhati Shine as India Wins Inaugural Kho-Kho World Cup

New Delhi -   India etched its name in sports history by winning the inaugural Kho-Kho World Cup, held from January 13 to 19, 2025, at the Indira Gandhi Arena, New Delhi. In a commanding display of skill, India defeated Nepal in the finals with a remarkable score of 78-40. Among the standout performers were Monica Bhati and Nirmala Bhati, students of Chandigarh University, whose contributions were instrumental in the team’s golden success.  Adding to the glory, Monica Bhati was crowned the Best Defender of the Tournament, recognizing her unmatched defensive prowess throughout the championship.
