CHANDIGARH, India - The 38th AIU Inter-University North Zone Youth Festival 2025

results have been declared and Chandigarh University (CU) has once again showcased remarkable performance by emerging as the overall champions. The festival was organized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and was held at Panjab University, Chandigarh. This achievement further qualifies Chandigarh University for the AIU National Youth Festival 2025, which will be held from March 3 to March 7. Also, it marks the fourth time that a team from Chandigarh University has secured the overall North-Zone AIU Trophy.

Competing against 962 students from 21 universities from across the North zone, 49 students from Chandigarh University took part in the youth festival under different categories of music, theatre, fine arts, literary and dance. The contingent from CU achieved the overall AIU North Zone trophy with 26 victories in different categories of events, including Theatre, Dance, Music, Literature and Fine Arts. CU won 8 first positions, 5 second positions and 7 third positions, encompassing 1st Overall trophy in Theatre, Dance and Literature; 2nd Overall trophy in Music; And 3rd Overall trophy in Fine Arts and Procession.

Furthermore, Chandigarh University is among the Top Teams that have consistently secured top positions in the prestigious festival, and particularly in the Theatre Division, CU has bagged the overall theatre championship consecutively for the past 6 years. Additionally, in the category of One-Act Play, CU Students have lifted the overall trophy for the 8th consecutive year in the North Zone AIU Championships. The 2025 Overall Trophy was received by the students along with Jai Inder Singh Sandhu (Managing Director, Chandigarh University) and Dr. Devinder Singh (Pro-Vice Chancellor) during the ceremony held at the campus of Panjab University, Chandigarh.


Expressing his appreciation of this remarkable achievement by CU Students, Chandigarh University MD Jai Inder Sandhu said, "It is an honour for Chandigarh University to have lifted the overall North Zone AIU trophy, 4th time this year. This has been possible only because of the extraordinary performances of our talented students. Now that they have qualified for the national championship, the university fraternity extends its heartfelt wishes to all participants and anticipates their outstanding performances."
