Fashion & Design Students Gain Expert Insights in Portfolio Development Workshop

CU Campus - handigarh University’s Department of Fashion & Design recently organized a highly impactful two-day Portfolio Development Workshop led by Mr. Gaurav Mandal, a National Awardee, Entrepreneur, Business Coach, and Brand Strategist. The workshop provided students with invaluable hands-on experience in structuring, refining, and presenting their creative work professionally.

The immersive learning experience unfolded over two dynamic days:

Day 1: Focused on the fundamentals of portfolio structuring, layout design, and visual hierarchy. Mr. Mandal guided students in curating their portfolio drafts, emphasizing typography, concept presentation, and professional storytelling. A practical session allowed students to develop their initial drafts under expert supervision.

Day 2: Shifted to presentation and refinement techniques, covering industry best practices such as color schemes, visual consistency, and creative storytelling. Mr. Mandal conducted a jury session, where students presented their portfolios and received individual feedback on their design presentation, communication skills, and marketability.

An engaging Q&A session concluded the workshop, providing students with insider industry knowledge, career insights, and essential portfolio-building strategies to elevate their professional journeys.
