Asian Paints selects 7 Mechanical Diploma Engineering students from Chandigarh Polytechnic College



India’s top and Asia’s third largest paint company, Asian Paints has selected 7 Diploma Engineering students of Mechanical branch from Chandigarh Polytechnic College, Gharuan during a campus placement drive. This was informed by CPC principal, Gurmeet Singh Swag while announcing the results. The multi-national has picked up a total of 13 students during in two years, out of which company selected 6 students in 2018 and 7 in 2019. The selected students have been offered 5.5 lacs package on joining the plant of the company at Noida where they will be given training for 3 months.

While giving details, Gurmeet Swag said, “In 2018 CPC signed an agreement with Asian Paints to impart skill based training to Diploma Engineering students under the Skill India initiative”. More than 90 students have completed their training which has been planned and executed by Industry experts at CPC Campus during the last 2 years. Asian Paints has more than 25 plants and operates in more than 65 countries all over the world.

Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor, Chandigarh University congratulated the selected students and said, “The placement season for Diploma Engineering has turned out to be the best in the region as more than 30 multi-nationals have conducted campus placements in which 150 students of different branches of polytechnic have been selected”.
