Chandigarh University Launches 3-Month ‘SANDBOX Residential Program‘ & Centre of Excellence in Digital Marketing’ During AI Fest 2026

Mohali – Chandigarh University launched a 90-day SANDBOX Residential Program under which top 30 of 300 startups, who  made a pitch during its three-day AI Fest 2026, will be provided mentorship and resources on a single platform to help accelerate their go-to-market (GTM) stage in three domains – AI, Deeptech and Media.  Strengthening its innovation network further, Chandigarh University also launched a Centre of Excellence in Digital Marketing operating on an “earn while learn” model. The Centre will allow students to work on live industry projects and consultancy assignments while gaining hands-on experience with AI-powered digital tools. Chandigarh University Launches Satellite Designing Programme 'CUSAT'

Chandigarh University on May 14 launched the Student Satellite Designing and Training program ‘CUSAT’ for students in the field of Aerospace Engineering. The virtual inauguration session of CUSAT was attended by distinguished scientists and professionals of the field, including Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientist Dr YS Rajan, former ISRO Director RM Vasagam, and Dr Mylswamy Annadurai, Program Director of Chandrayaan-1 and Mangalyaan, also known as the Moon Man of India. Chandigarh University said it has planned to design a multipurpose nano-satellite in 10-12 months which will be launched by the ISRO. University Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu said Rs 1 crore will be spent for designing the satellite for which the training of students has already begun. “The establishment of a ground control station for the satellite project is already underway and we are sure to design and launch our own multipurpose satellite within a time frame of 10-12 months.” The training program ...

Established under its CU-Aid Initiative at its campus in Gharuan, Chandigarh University has prepared CU-Isolation complexes with each complex comprising of a 100-bed quarantine facility, 100 Bed Medical Centre, OPD for patients , protection kits and other medical facilities. Coronavirus in India: Chandigarh University distributing food to poor & needy in nearby villages   Amid 21 days lockdown announced in India, the daily wagers working in factories and construction labour are facing heat as they are facing challenges to earn and find food for themselves and their families. Rising up to the situation and with the spirit of gesture in times of crisis, Chandigarh University Gharuan is distributing cooked meals two times a day to poor & needy in the 6 neighbourhood villages Gharuan, Batta, Mankheri, Mamupur, Roorkee Pukta and Madauli. The distribution drive started from the first day of the lockdown and will be continued throughout the 21 days period. The meals are cooked in University Mess and then transported to the different locations using the institution’s transportation. CU students from Indonesia celebrate 74th Indonesia Independence Day  Chandigarh University students of Indonesia origin celebrated their 74th Independence Day at the university campus by presenting a Musical & Dance performance. Dressed up in their traditional attire, more than 100 Indonesian students presented a colorful tableau of their rich heritage and culture. It was in the year 1945, Indonesia got independence from the occupation of Dutch and Japan with great struggle and sacrifice.  On the occasion, the students from Indonesia presented their traditional folk dance Roti-Manis which means sweet bread and is performed by the farmer's community during the reaping season. Once again Team Chandigarh University makes India proud at Dance World Cup 2019 Lifts 1st runners-up trophy beating teams from 19 countries  Team from Chandigarh University representing India has once again made country proud by winning the 1st Runners-up trophy at the 12th Edition of the Dance World Cup 2019. In 2018, the university team had lifted the Dance World Cup Trophy for the country. With more than 323 teams from all across the world participated in the Dance World Cup 2019 which was hosted by International Dance Council (CID) at Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.
