Onam Celebrations at CU Showcase A Blend of Culture, Tradition, and Unity

CU Campus - This year’s Onam celebrations at Chandigarh University were marked by vibrant cultural performances, games, and activities, bringing together students from diverse backgrounds.  The festivities were led by students from Kerala, showcasing the rich traditions of their home state. Participants, including students from various departments across India and over 65 countries, gathered to celebrate the harvest festival. Onam, one of Kerala's most significant cultural festivals, symbolizes truth, peace, family, and love. Onam Celebrations at Chandigarh University

  Kerala Students celebrate Onam with great fanfare at Chandigarh University   On the occasion of Onam, an annual Malayali harvest festival, also the official festival of the state of Kerala, a spectrum of cultural events was organized at Chandigarh University Gharuan. Celebrating the rice harvest in the Southern state of India, vivid cultural glimpses of Kerala were on display as the students from Kerala enthralled the audience with their soulful performances. The Onam celebrations filled the air in the varsity courtyard, with Rang Puja and Ganesh Vandana starting off the celebrations. A number of Rangolis made from beautiful flowers by the students in the campus premises added to the festive vibe, even as, students danced and sang their traditional style and tunes, much to the applaud of the audience.
