CU Campus - The Hack Wars 2024 hackathon, held at Chandigarh University, concluded successfully after 24 hours of rigorous coding and collaboration. The event saw participation from over 1,200 teams across the country, with the top 50 teams competing in the final round. Participants worked on a diverse range of projects, including artificial intelligence-based applications, blockchain innovations, and cybersecurity solutions.  The hackathon was an opportunity for engineering students to address real-world problems and propose creative and technical solutions. Mentors and judges from the tech industry guided the participants throughout the event, while sponsors contributed to the success of the competition.  The results highlighted a variety of innovative approaches, with winning teams recognized for their technical expertise and problem-solving skills. CSE Students Shine with Second Place Finish at IIT Roorkee Competition

A team of engineering students from Chandigarh University, known as INFAMOUS, achieved an impressive second place in the Token Trim competition at Cognizance 2024, hosted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. The team, comprising Akshat Srivastava, Anubhav Pandey, Vaibhav Lucktoo, and Avishek Golder, received cash prizes for their accomplishment. The competition was part of Code Jam, a segment of the annual technical fest Cognizance. It involved various challenges that tested the participants' coding skills, problem-solving abilities, and innovative thinking. Team INFAMOUS faced numerous rounds, each presenting unique challenges. Despite not clearing all rounds, their persistence and collaborative spirit played a crucial role in their success. The highlight of their project was a Python package designed to reduce the number of tokens required to convey a prompt, ultimately lowering costs.
