The competition was part of Code Jam, a segment of the annual technical fest Cognizance. It involved various challenges that tested the participants' coding skills, problem-solving abilities, and innovative thinking. Team INFAMOUS faced numerous rounds, each presenting unique challenges. Despite not clearing all rounds, their persistence and collaborative spirit played a crucial role in their success.

The highlight of their project was a Python package designed to reduce the number of tokens required to convey a prompt, ultimately lowering costs. The tool is particularly useful for developing chatbots using GPT-3 for customer support. It streamlines verbose user queries by identifying key points and generating concise prompts. For instance, a lengthy query about account login issues and password problems is condensed into "Account login issue, password problem."

The competition provided a valuable platform for the team to innovate and test their limits. Reflecting on their journey, the team members expressed pride in their accomplishments and the invaluable learning experiences they gained throughout the competition.

Cognizance at IIT Roorkee is renowned for fostering a competitive environment that encourages innovation and technical excellence among students from various institutions. The achievement of the INFAMOUS team from Chandigarh University highlights the caliber of talent and determination present in its engineering students.
