For the first time in the history, 36 teams of dancers, one from each state and union territory, were selected through a nationwide competition to perform during the Republic Day parade 2022. The Girls Giddha Team and Boys Bhangra Team of Chandigarh University, Gharuan got the honour of representing the State of Punjab on Rajpath, in this maiden show of national integration through multiple dance forms.
