CU Campus , February 28, 2025: The All India Inter-University Wushu Championship for the 2024-25 season concluded successfully at Chandigarh University, witnessing intense competition among some of the finest student athletes in the country. The championship, held from February 22 to 27, saw participation from over 1,100 athletes representing 113 universities, accompanied by 170 coaches. Chandigarh University delivered an exceptional performance across multiple categories. The university emerged as the Women’s Champions, accumulating 18 points. In the men’s category, Chandigarh University secured the Runner-up and Second Runner-up positions, also with 18 points. The university further solidified its dominance in the Taolu Event, securing a remarkable 41 points to claim the championship title in this category. New Delhi -   India etched its name in sports history by winning the inaugural Kho-Kho World Cup, held from January 13 to 19, 2025, at the Indira Gandhi Arena, New Delhi. In a commanding display of skill, India defeated Nepal in the finals with a remarkable score of 78-40. Among the standout performers were Monica Bhati and Nirmala Bhati, students of Chandigarh University, whose contributions were instrumental in the team’s golden success.  Adding to the glory, Monica Bhati was crowned the Best Defender of the Tournament, recognizing her unmatched defensive prowess throughout the championship. Paris (July 29, 2024)  - In a tightly contested final of the Men's 10m Air Rifle event at the Paris Olympics 2024, Arjun Babuta finished just shy of a podium position. Despite a commendable performance throughout the competition, Babuta narrowly missed out on a medal, ultimately placing 4th.
