Women’s Champions, Men’s Runner-up: Chandigarh University’s Strong Show at Wushu Championship

CU Campus , February 28, 2025: The All India Inter-University Wushu Championship for the 2024-25 season concluded successfully at Chandigarh University, witnessing intense competition among some of the finest student athletes in the country. The championship, held from February 22 to 27, saw participation from over 1,100 athletes representing 113 universities, accompanied by 170 coaches. Chandigarh University delivered an exceptional performance across multiple categories. The university emerged as the Women’s Champions, accumulating 18 points. In the men’s category, Chandigarh University secured the Runner-up and Second Runner-up positions, also with 18 points. Patna (Bihar) -  Mahi Swetraj, recognized as India’s fastest female swimmer, secured three gold medals at the 77th Senior National Swimming Championship held in Mangaluru (Karnataka), marking a significant achievement in her swimming career. Her performance at the event has drawn widespread attention, with the Bihar Chief Minister recently honouring her for her accomplishments.
