Team Super King Lifted the trophy of Chandigarh University Employee Cricket League 2020

The magnificent Chandigarh University Gharuan Employee Cricket League was held at Chandigarh University campus where Faculty of CU showcased immense talent and competitiveness. Chandigarh University Employee Cricket League was Inaugurated by  Hon'ble Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu with other members of the higher management . The number of teams participated in this year was 21 . The event commenced with the MARCH PAST of all the Captains along with their participating teams on 15th December in the Sports Complex Ground. All the match generated huge enthusiasm and excitement in the spectators present in ground. The final match was played between team Super Kings and team Mech Rocks. The team Mech Rocks defeated team Super Kings in the final match.

Supreme Court judges from 10 countries participated in the International Webinar of Chandigarh University

Chandigarh University hosts 2-day International Webinar on ‘Global Challenges of Modern Times’ “Supreme Court of India played a proactive role in recognizing Right to Education as one of the fundamental right given to the citizens of India. With the enactment and implementation of Right to Education by Indian Parliament, the social and economic status of citizens especially the vulnerable section of society drastically improved” said Justice Surya Kant, Judge Supreme Court of India. Five-day NCC Training Camp concluded at Chandigarh University

NCC Cadets from various educational institutes of Mohali participate in a 5-day training camp at Chandigarh University. Around 170 NCC cadets underwent training related to numerous activities of the Indian Army. Chandigarh University, NCC Wing organized  a five-day NCC training camp  under the direction of NCC Group Headquarter Patiala, NCC Battalion 23 P.B. B. N. The five-day NCC training camp, held from 15 to 19 February, witnessed 170 NCC cadets from various educational institutes of Mohali district, including Chandigarh University. During the training camp, the cadets learned about the methods and strategies used in the Indian Army. More than 17 students have joined as officers in Indian Army, Air Force and Navy during last 3 years  On one hand Chandigarh University is training professionals for industry who are equipped with new-age skills, while on the other hand the University is motivating the students to join Indian Armed Forces as Youth Officers. Approved from UGC-DEB; Institute of Distance and Online Learning offers admissions to 5 Undergraduate and 5 Post-Graduate courses Adopting blended and technology driven learning for its distance education programs, the Institute of Distance and Online Learning of Chandigarh University has announced admissions to January-2021 intake for its distance education programs. 72nd Republic day Special

  Chandigarh University Gharuan Commemorated 72nd Republic day   Chandigarh University celebrated 72nd Republic Day of India on 26th January 2021 with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. On this occasion, Pro-Chancellor Dr R.S Bawa unfurled the National Flag of India at Chandigarh university Campus. This was accompanied by the singing of National Anthem. After the Flag Hoisting Ceremony and Inspection of Parade, the Vice-Chancellor communicated Republic Day Greetings to everyone. Students and faculty from different states participated in various cultural programs which were organized to mark the true spirit of being an Indian .Cadets of Chandigarh University carried-out a march past and the cadets who had won at different National level NCC Competitions were honored by Dr.R.S.Bawa, Pro-Chancellor, Chandigarh University. On this occasion, the Bhangra team of Chandigarh university marked their performance and won everyone’s heart.  

National Youth Summit at CU Campus

International Folklore Festival

The fourth International Folklore Festival commenced at ChandigarhUniversity (CU) , which was inaugurated by Kazakhstan’s ambassador to India Alimbayev Yerlan, Punjabi singer and actor Dr Satinder Sartaj and Dr Baljit Singh Sekhon, joint secretary of the Association of Indian Universities.   More than 1,000 participants from 40 countries presented their traditional and folk dances during the three-day cultural extravaganza. While inaugurating the festival, Sartaj had said, “The folk of any country depicts its rich culture and heritage, and such festivals unite the whole world on a single platform. Music and dance are two forms of art that promote universal harmony across the world.”   Kazakhstan ambassador had said, “It is a commendable job done by Chandigarh University to organise the festival virtually and it will help in making strong cultural ties with India.”
