Chandigarh University Gharuan celebrated the 75th Indian Independence with great joy and enthusiasm. The celebration was attended by students and faculty of the university. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag at Chandigarh University campus by Dr. Satbir Singh Sehgal, Registrar, Chandigarh University.
Following this, the students put forth a cultural interlude through which they showcased the true essence of Indian Independence. The cultural program began with an address by Dr. Satbir Singh Sehgal, Registrar, Chandigarh University which reminded the youth the significance of such a freedom experienced by a country like India and inspired the gathering. The program concluded with a medley of patriotic songs sung by the Chandigarh University students followed by the National Anthem.
