Chandigarh University signs MoU with Zell Education to offer range of international financial, accounting qualifications.

MOHALI: Taking a giant stride towards its goal of preparing industry ready students by equipping them with in-demand skills and internationally recognised certifications, Chandigarh University, Gharuan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India’s leading finance and accounts edtech startup, Zell Education, to offer international professional qualifications like ACCA, CPA & CIMA, along with their ongoing Bachelor`s and Master’s degrees.
With this tactical partnership, Chandigarh University aims to address the current surge in demand for courses such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA and prepare its students beyond textual understanding which will mould them to be industry ready along with meaningful career transition. With the technical assistance from Zell Education, Institute of Distance and Online Learning (IDOL), Chandigarh University will now be granting these degrees to students wanting to opt for these relevant financial qualifications.
Giving information about the partnership, Dr R S Bawa, Pro-Chancellor, Chandigarh University said that the Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between IDOL, Chandigarh University and Zell Education to pave way for new online, international courses in accountancy and finance which will allow for the holistic development of students and will provide them with the right knowledge, skills, values and ethics.
“With this partnership, we aim to bring international courses of finance and accountancy under one roof for our students, across India and abroad, and equipping them with the in-demand skills, as per the current needs of the industry, nationally and internationally. Chandigarh University is proud to provide such kind of international opportunities to our students,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anant Bengani, Co-Founder & Director, Zell Education said that the edtech giant has created a unique structure of online and project-based training combined with mentor support to create transformative learning experiences, while keeping in view the challenges faced by the learners.
“This tie up will pave a smoother route for students who are willing to take up global qualifications along with their undergrad. In the same time span, the students will own dual qualification and get an edge over others,” he added.
