Supporting cultural diversification, Nepal's 'Tihar' festival celebrated at Chandigarh University
Chandigarh University celebrated the festival of
people of Nepal named “Tihar” for supporting cultural diversification from
across the globe living in the campus.
The university celebrated this five day long festival
of lights known as Tihar which created a huge joy among the students. This
festival is celebrated among Nepalese culture to mark end of the harvest season
and honors Yama the God of death.
Students in campus rose their National Nepalese flag
and sang National Anthem. Some students performed cultural activities and folk
dances in honor to their culture
