The campus at Chandigarh University boasts of an unprecedented industry patronage and exclusive infrastructure facilities provided by multinationals like Microsoft, IBM, Wipro, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Videocon and many more to make widespread use of technology-enhanced learning to maintain excellence and continue to improve the learning process of the students. University’s State-of-the-Art infrastructure and technology is integrated into every area ensuring smooth connectivity in every corner of the campus.

Moving further, no one is oblivious of the effect the Pandemic COVID-19 has laid onto the world and daily life of every individual. The pandemic’s outbreak also raised temporary barriers on education by making it hard or next to impossible for an institution to undertake academics or events at their respective campus. However, even in these times Chandigarh University has been thriving and ascending to greater avenues.

To begin with, when the academic sessions were temporarily called off, Chandigarh University was one of the pioneers in the country to introduce world’s high end learning management system called, Blackboard. After having kicked off the session 2020-21 virtually, CU has been ensuring that the students do not miss out on their industry patronage or any opportunity to learn.

Undertaking another international endeavor, Chandigarh University has signed Software License Agreement with Petroleum Engineering Software Company, Kappa. Primarily a Petroleum Engineering Software Company, Kappa trains and consults in Dynamic Data Analysis; namely, transient and production analysis, production log analysis, data management, modeling and history matching. Public courses are delivered worldwide. Also, the organization trains hundreds of engineers every year in client specific in-house courses and workshops.

The Software License Agreement with Kappa is the educational type network license, which avails the use of six software. The software for 25 users from Chandigarh University are Saphir, Topaze, Rubis, Azurite, Emeraude and Citrine. The total value of the six software stands at €4,500,000. The varsity will be making the utilization of the valued software in the engineering programs, especially in the courses of Reservoir and Production Engineering. Having benefitted from the donation, Chandigarh University will also be undertaking relevant research activities and to support the teaching receiving first-hand experience of industry-standard software.

The Software Agreement License with Kappa is another major higher educational collaboration for Chandigarh University within a very short span of time. Mr. Olivier Houze, Managing Director of KAPPA, and Prof. (Dr.) Satbir Singh Sehgal, Registrar of Chandigarh University signed the agreement as Chandigarh University appreciated KAPPA for this generous donation while also expressing hopes to collaborate together in other domains in the future.
