Having been a student of B.Sc. Nutrition & Dietetics at Chandigarh University, Ms Parul was a part of the virtual campus placement drive by the varsity and was among the students placed amid the pandemic.
Chandigarh University, ensuring placements even amid the pandemic and lockdown, hosted over 500 MNC’s which extended 5000+ Placement offers at the virtual campus placement drive. Recording a surge in the number of campus placements, the varsity hosted a pool of MNC’s including Microsoft, Deloitte, Amazon, Arcesium, IBM, etc. among the top recruiters and the highest offered salary package at Rs. 35 LPA.
After kicking off her journey as a Dietician with leading media organization in North India, Kesari Connect Pvt. Ltd., Ms Parul has a lot to share about her journey from academic to professional life and the role of nutrition and dietetics in our daily lives, especially in the times of COVID-19 when the number of daily cases and death toll is rising.
“Your diet is as good as any medicine,” said Ms Parul when asked about the role of a Dietitian in present-times. Highlighting the vital aspects of healthy diet and nutrition in everyday life, she also explored the scope of a Dietitian or Dietetics. She mentioned diverse categories where Dietitians can pursue their professional careers with mass media emphasizing nutrition and offering huge number of opportunities to upcoming dietitians.
