DCPD Hosts Orientation Session for Summer Winning Camp

Chandigarh - In a proactive effort to prepare students for the competitive job market, Chandigarh University's Department of Career Planning and Development organized an Orientation Session for the Summer Winning Camp. The event was aimed at TPP active students from BE CSE-AIT, ME, and MCA 2025 PO, focusing on enhancing their readiness for placement offers.

The session was graced by Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Manpreet Singh Manna, who delivered an inspiring address, urging students to prioritize their academic goals to build a successful future. Drawing from his own experiences, Dr. Manna illustrated how small, disciplined actions can lead to significant achievements. He emphasized the importance of valuing every minute and advised students that qualities such as presence of mind, humor, confidence, conviction, and clarity are crucial alongside academic excellence.

A representative from a renowned testing platform provided insights into the nuances of test analysis and its critical role in student placements. He discussed the significance of the ELQ (Employability Learning Quotient) in corporate hiring processes, highlighting how students can leverage this knowledge to enhance their employability.

Prof. Pardeep Bansal, Executive Director of the Department of Career Planning and Development, addressed the students, stressing the urgency of preparing for the upcoming campus recruitment drives. He highlighted recent trends in corporate recruitment and emphasized the importance of utilizing the department's resources, including customized company-specific sessions, mock placement papers, reference books, and evening remedial classes.

CU's Monica and Nirmala Bhati Shine as India Wins Inaugural Kho-Kho World Cup

New Delhi -   India etched its name in sports history by winning the inaugural Kho-Kho World Cup, held from January 13 to 19, 2025, at the Indira Gandhi Arena, New Delhi. In a commanding display of skill, India defeated Nepal in the finals with a remarkable score of 78-40.
