Gold and Silver for UITHM Students at Millets Competition, World Food India

New Delhi: Students from the University Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management (UITHM), Chandigarh University, recently achieved success at the Millets Competition during the World Food India event, organized by the Indian Culinary Forum.

Sukhminder, a student from the university, won the Gold Medal for his innovative millet-based dish, while Anuj Kumar Singh secured the Silver Medal for his creative culinary presentation. The competition highlighted the culinary skills and ingenuity of the participants, with both students representing Chandigarh University in the national event.

The achievements of these students reflect the talent emerging from Chandigarh University’s hospitality program and their ability to excel in competitive culinary environments. Both winners were recognized for their creativity and technical expertise in preparing dishes using millets, an ancient grain that has been gaining global recognition for its nutritional value.

The event, which celebrates culinary talent and innovation in food preparation, saw participation from various institutions, with Chandigarh University’s students securing top honors in a prestigious category.
