CU Inaugurates Finovation Hub, Launches MBA in Applied Finance with PwC

Chandigarh, July 30, 2024 — Chandigarh University has inaugurated the "Centre of Excellence: The Finovation Hub" on its campus, marking a significant step towards advancing financial education and innovation. The inauguration coincided with the launch of a collaborative Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in Applied Finance with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), making Chandigarh University the first Indian institution to offer such a program in partnership with the global financial advisory firm. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this collaboration was signed by Chandigarh University Registrar Dr. GS Brar and Sanjeev Parkar, Senior Director HCM, PwC, at the university's campus. CU Student Arjun Babuta’s Olympic Journey; Finishes 4th in Men’s 10m Air Rifle at Paris Olympics

Paris (July 29, 2024)  - In a tightly contested final of the Men's 10m Air Rifle event at the Paris Olympics 2024, Arjun Babuta finished just shy of a podium position. Despite a commendable performance throughout the competition, Babuta narrowly missed out on a medal, ultimately placing 4th. A pivotal moment in his final came with a 9.9 score on his 13th shot, which proved costly in the final tally. Babuta's performance, while falling short of a medal, reflects the high level of competition at the Olympics and underscores the competitive spirit of Indian shooters on the global stage. Earlier in the Games, Indian shooters Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh competed in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event and advanced to the bronze medal match. CU Sets New Placement Records with TCS

Chandigarh -  In a significant achievement for Chandigarh University, 585 students from the 2024 batch have been offered placements by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). This accomplishment highlights the university's successful placement drive and the students' readiness for the professional world. Of the students placed, 26 received offers with salaries ranging between ₹9-11 lakhs per annum. Additionally, 179 students were offered positions with compensation packages between ₹7-7.3 lakhs per annum. This year's placement drive has demonstrated the strong industry connections and career preparation provided by Chandigarh University, ensuring that a large number of its graduates are successfully transitioning into their professional careers with notable companies like TCS.

CSE Students Shine with Second Place Finish at IIT Roorkee Competition
