Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi inaugurates National Cadet & Sub-Junior Judo Championship 2021-22 at Chandigarh University, Gharuan CM Channi announces ultra-modern indoor Judo stadium in Punjab, grants Rs 20 Lakh for Judo Association The National Cadet and Sub-Junior Judo Championship 2021-22 kicked off to a flying start at the sports complex of Chandigarh University, Gharuan. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi inaugurated the championship, which is being organised by Punjab Judo Association under the aegis of Judo Federation of Indian. As many as 460 players from all 28 states and 9 union territories of the country will be participating in the 5-day-long championship from 9th to 13th November, 2021 . ‘Ek Haath Aasha Ka’ camp: 1340 get free-of-cost prosthetic hands 1340 get prosthetic hands at ‘Ek Haath Aasha Ka’ camp at Chandigarh University, Gharuan Rotary Club Chandigarh Central organises free of cost LN-4 prosthetic hand distribution camp A Prosthetic Organ Distribution Camp was organised by Rotary Club Chandigarh Central in association with Chandigarh University, Gharuan in which as many as 1340 needy persons were given LN-4 type prosthetic hands, free of cost over the course of four days. As many as 304 students from the National Service Scheme wing of the varsity took on the various responsibilities from medical check up to fitment of the organs, thus playing a pivotal role in the camp, which was organised under the banner ‘Ek Haath Aasha Ka’ at the University campus. 190 cadets trained for BEE, CEE certificate exams during NCC training camp at Chandigarh University, Gharuan NCC cadets learn battle craft, weapon training, field craft, drill, map reading during week-long camp 98% of Chandigarh University cadets achieve Alpha (A) grade in BEE Certificate Examination-2021 A National Cadets Corps (NCC) training camp was organised by the NCC wing of Chandigarh University, Gharuan under the banner of PB 23 Battalion NCC, Rupnagar, and the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters Patiala during which as many as 190 students from various educational institutions in Mohali district including Chandigarh University underwent training.
