  Film stars enthrall audiences during Chandigarh Music and Film Festival CMFF 2023   Renowned filmmakers and artists from the Hindi and Punjabi film industries participated in the three-day festival being organized by Chandigarh Welfare Trust (CWT) in association with Chandigarh University (CU) from May 7 to 9. The opening ceremony of the third edition of this festival, on Sunday (May 7) was a star-studded event, that was also attended by Satnam Singh Sandhu, founder of Chandigarh Welfare Trust (CWT) and chancellor of Chandigarh University (CU). The festival aimed to project Chandigarh as a hub of the entertainment industry in north India and advocate the need for a film city here.     CU organises alumni meet in Ontario Canada The bonds forged during one's time at university are special, and the Alumni Meet organised by Chandigarh University in Ontario, Canada, was a testament to that.   CU alumni from all over Ontario showed up in large numbers for this grand reunion event, catching up with their fellow CUians, reminiscing about old times, and forging new connections for the future. The atmosphere was electric as alumni from different batches and streams came together, united by their shared experiences at Chandigarh University. It was a truly unforgettable experience and one that will be cherished for years to come.

    Graduation ceremony hosted by CU   Aiming to make the final days of the academic journey of our splendent students striking and memorable, recently, Chandigarh University hosted Convocation Ceremony for its UG and PG students who passed out in the Year 2022. Moreover, Mr Sushil Suri, Chairman and Managing Director, Morepen Laboratories Ltd. was invited as the Chief Guest to confer our radiant students with their hard-earned degrees. He also interacted with the students and taught them that determination is the secret to success.

    National Award Winner play ‘King of Pop’ based on life of Michael Jackson staged by Chandigarh University students   The two-day theatre festival ‘Chandigarh Rashtriya Natya Mahotsav- 2023’ concluded at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, with staging of two theatre plays namely ‘King of Pop’ by and ‘Be-Libas’. It was organised by Haryana Kala Parishad in association with Chandigarh University with an aim to provide a platform of the theatre artists to showcase their talent and allow the audiences to connect themselves with the quality entertainment.   The play ‘King of Pop’ staged by students of Chandigarh University had won the Best One Act Play at National level competition, organized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Chandigarh University organized Annual Convocation for the 1st Batch of Open and Distance Learning

  Chandigarh University organized Annual Convocation for the 1 st Batch of Open and Distance Learning; 325 degrees awarded   Chandigarh University Gharuan held the annual convocation of the first pass-out batch of Open and Distance Learning in Management, Computer Applications, Commerce, and Arts at its main campus. The chief guest of the occasion was Akash Sureka, Managing Director JP Morgan Chase & Co. Dr. (Prof.) R S Bawa, Pro-Chancellor Chandigarh University; Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna, Vice Chancellor Chandigarh University; Dr. Pawan Kumar Paras, Registrar Chandigarh University; and Vishwas Kshirsagar, Executive Director Marketing Chandigarh University, were also present on this auspicious occasion.   Akash Sureka awarded degrees more than 325 degrees to the students of MBA, MCA, MCom, and MA in English and Psychology through online and distance learning.   Theatre festival by Chandigarh University and Haryana Kala Parishad A two-day theatre festival ‘Chandigarh Rashtriya Natya Mahotsav- 2023’ was held at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh, on April 6 and 7 to celebrate the different shades of theatre. The festival which began on Thursday, is being organised by Haryana Kala Parishad in association with Chandigarh University .
