  Chandigarh University celebrates the 75 th  Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism   Prof. (Dr.) Manpreet Singh Manna , Vice Chancellor Chandigarh University, unfurled the flag on the occasion of 75 th  Republic Day celebration at the campus. March past parade comprising of NCC Cadets and sports students of Chandigarh University gave salute to the National Flag. Furthermore, a vibrant cultural program showcasing the rich diversity of our nation, followed by a special airshow, was also presented by CU students in honor of Republic Day. While delivering his address on the occasion, Dr. Manna said, “It is the youth of any nation who holds significant potential in advancing its development and progress. And as India is moving towards becoming a developed nation by 2047, it is imperative for today’s youth to understand their responsibilities and roles so that they can contribute to the progress of the country to the best of their capacities.”

Chandigarh University student Pawan Kumar Sehrawat conferred with Arjuna Award by President Pawan Sehrawat amongst the 26 players recognized with the second highest honour for his contribution in the field of Kabaddi.   Chandigarh University (CU) student Pawan Kumar Sehrawat, the captain of Indian Kabaddi team, was on Monday (9 January) bestowed with the prestigious Arjuna Award, the second-highest athletic honour in India. Pawan received the prestigious Arjuna Award from President Droupadi Murmu for his brilliant contribution to Indian Kabaddi.   Pawan, under whose leadership the Indian Kabaddi team returned with a Gold in Asian Games 2023 after eight years (2014), was awarded the honour at a glittering ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Chandigarh University lifts the Overall Champions Trophy at All India Inter University Rowing Championship 2023 CU wins 50 Medals in All India Inter-University Rowing Championship held at Sukhna Lake Chandigarh University lifted the Overall Champions Trophy at the All India Inter University Rowing Championship 2023 organized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) at the Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh from 22 December to 23 December 2023. CU distinguished itself among the 30 participating universities, claiming the overall titles in both men’s and women’s categories due to the outstanding performances of its 30 participating students. In the men's event, the rowers of Chandigarh University claimed the top position with 74 points and 28 medals, including 20 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze.
