Chandigarh: In a display of innovative prowess, four students from Chandigarh University—Gurshabad Pal Singh, Aryan Zutshi, Ayush Raj, and Ripanpreet—have emerged victorious in the Soroban Build-a-Thon hosted by RiseIn and Stellar. Their creation, "Green Arrow," a decentralized first-person shooter (FPS) game on Web 3.0, captured the attention of judges with its blend of technological innovation and environmental consciousness.
"Green Arrow" stands out not only as a gaming platform but also as a step towards sustainability. The game integrates Web 3.0 technology with a play-to-earn model, allowing players to earn tokens that can be used to support NGO initiatives for real-life tree planting. This unique combination of entertainment and environmental impact resonated strongly with the judges, earning the team $500 in rewards and a chance to compete internationally in the United States.
The students' success highlights Chandigarh University's commitment to fostering entrepreneurial and technological talent among its students. As these future tech leaders continue to innovate, their achievements promise further contributions to both the gaming industry and environmental sustainability.
