The CU team, operating under the name Team N3K, comprised Tarun S (team lead), Upasana Paul, Shreya Pratihari, and Swastik Kumar—all students of the university's Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department. The team’s project, which demonstrated technical expertise and innovation, earned them the second position out of nine competing teams, along with a prize of ₹40,000.
Microfish 2024 was organised by IIT Guwahati as part of its renowned annual fest, Techniche, which brings together young talent from across the nation to compete in various technology and innovation-based competitions. This year's edition saw teams from premier institutions such as the IITs and NITs vying for top honours.
Team N3K’s success at the event highlights the increasing prowess of Chandigarh University students across a range of fields, with the university nurturing talent in both academics and extracurricular pursuits. The achievement adds to the university’s growing reputation for producing students who excel on national platforms, both in terms of technical skills and innovative thinking.
Speaking on the achievement, Tarun S, the team lead, expressed his pride in the team’s performance and acknowledged the high level of competition, saying, “It was a tough challenge, but we worked hard and remained focused on our goal. We are grateful for the support from our mentors and the resources available at the university, which helped us succeed.”
