In his keynote address, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said India can become a superpower only through startups.

“Considering the population of India, we should be number one in Startups because there are very limited number of jobs. Why should we give our best talent and minds to foreign companies like Google or Microsoft who pay Rs 1 Crore pay package but expect Rs 100 Crore work. Thus we are losing that Rs 100 Crore, it’s going to some other country. So we have thought beyond jobs and work to create startups. Companies like Amazon, Facebook, Meta, Flipkart and Ola all started with an idea and their turnover is now better than in many good countries. So, one idea can change the whole nation,” he added.
