NIRF 2024 Rankings: Chandigarh University Joins Elite League of India’s Top 20 Universities

Chandigarh - Ranking and accreditation are vital for evaluating the quality of educational programs offered by higher education institutions (HEIs). In India, National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) brings out the most authentic ranking system of the country as it defines multi-dimensional parameters to capture quality and excellence of HEIs in India across various categories and ranks them based on their cumulative score on these parameters. 

Therefore, Chandigarh University’s stellar rise among the best government and private universities in the country by securing 20th Rank in the NIRF 2024 Rankings, released by the Union Ministry of Education on Monday, indicates a significant achievement. It has placed Chandigarh University among India’s elite educational institutions.  

The 20th position among both Private and Government Universities in India in the NIRF Ranking 2024 is a testament to Chandigarh University’s higher standards in academics, placements, research and innovation. It has placed Chandigarh University among India’s elite educational institutions in a short span of 12 years given the fact the University was established in 2012.

In fact, Chandigarh University’s consistent rise in national and global rankings over the years clearly indicates that it has not been a one-time random event.

Besides overall Rankings, Chandigarh University has secured top spots across multiple disciplines including Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture and Planning which is an endorsement of excellence and quality education being imparted to students at Chandigarh University.  

Chandigarh University secured 32nd Rank in Engineering as compared to last year’s 38th Rank, 36th Rank in Management, 20th Rank in Pharmacy as compared to last year’s 34th Rank and 13th Rank in Architecture and Planning in NIRF 2024 Rankings compared to the previous year’s 15th rank.

From its more than impressive performance in NIRF 2024 Rankings, it’s more than clear with these top rankings that Chandigarh University has come a long way in its over a decade long journey and become a brand of its own, attracting a pool of highly talented students and faculty members from across the country and abroad. 

Chandigarh University’s NIRF 2024 Ranking is a testament of state-of-the-art resources, infrastructure, and facilities being provided to our students. The significant improvement in our ranking is endorsement of our higher standards in academics, placements, research and innovation. 

This is a reflection of the dedicated effort by the institute faculty, staff and students despite the pandemic. Chandigarh University’s stellar performance in the ninth edition of NIRF 2024 Rankings further strengthens our resolve to uphold high standards of excellence in every aspect of what we do and continue to contribute meaningfully to our nation’s growth. 

Ever since making debut in NIRF Rankings in 2019, Chandigarh University has continued to improve its performance on these high parameters of NIRF Rankings. This has been made possible because of the continued pursuit of excellence by the faculty, students and researchers of the University.
