Ghana students celebrate 64th Independence Day at Chandigarh University

Ghana was the first sub-Saharan country to win independence in 1957 Chandigarh University students of Ghana origin celebrated their 64th Independence Day at the university campus with great enthusiasm and patriotism. During the celebration, the Ghana students exhibit their culture to show honor and respect to their nation. It was in the year 1957, Ghana got independence from the British colonial Rule with great struggle and sacrifice. Ghana was the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to get independence. More than 300 students from various countries of Africa are currently studying at the Chandigarh University and most of the students are from Ghana. Radio Punjab 90.0 interacts with successful career women of Punjab under Dhiyaan Punjab Diyan initiative

Radio Punjab 90.0, a community radio station of Chandigarh University Gharuan, organized a program " Dhiyan Punjab Diyan " dedicated to International Women's Day. Various eminent personalities from the field of Medical, Judiciary, Entertainment, and academics shared their views on women's rights and health.  Advocate Dr. Gitanjali Bali, Dermatologist, Dr. Vikram Lahoria, Miss. India-2021 First Runner-up Aarti Chhangra, and Dr.  Navneet Sidhu Psychologists from DSW Department, Chandigarh University participated in this program. Chandigarh university fast bowler Vaibhav Arora selected by Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL 2021

Right-hand medium pacer selected by IPL franchise on the basis of performance in Domestic Cricket    Young fast bowler, Vaibhav Arora from Chandigarh University cricket team is all set to make his debut in the 14th Edition of IPL-2021. A final year BA+B.Ed. student of Chandigarh University has been picked-up by Sharukh Khan team Kolkata Knight Riders and is amongst the five young players bought during the recently held IPL auctions held at Chennai.  The young medium pacer has been selected by KKR at a base price of Rs. 20 Lacs on the basis of his extraordinary performance in domestic cricket. Chandigarh University host 29th Senior National Men & Women Wushu championship

Team SSCB lifts the overall trophy in Sanda & Taolu event of Wushu championship Chandigarh University Gharuan organized the 29th Senior National Men & Women Wushu Championship 2021. Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, Minister for Sports, Youth & NRI Affairs, Government of Punjab along with Bhupinder Singh Bajwa, President, Wushu Association of India (WAI) and Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chancellor, Chandigarh University inaugurated the 29th Senior National Wushu Championship organized by Wushu Association of India.
