Palak Kohli Begins Paralympic Journey with a Dominant Win for India

Paris, France - Chandigarh University's Palak Kohli has kicked off her second Paralympic campaign with a strong start, securing a comprehensive victory in her opening match. Competing in the SL4 Group C of women's singles para-badminton, Palak defeated France's Milenna Surreau with a commanding score of 21-12, 21-14, marking her first victory in the group stage. Palak's success is part of a broader achievement for Indian para-shuttlers, as Thulasimathi Murugesan, Manisha Ramdass, and Nithya Sre also emerged victorious in their respective group-stage matches, adding to the country's promising start in the Paralympics. However, in the mixed doubles SL3-SU5 Group A match, India's duo of Suhas Yathiraj and Palak Kohli faced a challenging encounter, losing the first game 15-21 to France's Lucas Mazur and Faustine Noel. International Students Secure Victory with Groundbreaking Hydrogen Drone Project

Chandigarh University recently celebrated the achievements of two international students from the Department of Electrical Engineering , Mehedi Hasan and Md. Atiquen Nobi, both from Bangladesh. The students participated in the "International Online Internship Program and Project Competition," organized by Energy Mentors (USA) in collaboration with IIT Ropar. Their project, titled "Hydrogen Fuel Cell-Based Drones as Intercity Cargo Transporter," secured the Winner position in the competition, earning them a cash prize of $150. The project showcased their technical skills and innovative approach to solving modern challenges.
